7. The Intense Dream

Author's POV-

Reyansh's lips met hers, their kiss growing more passionate and urgent as they huddled under the banyan tree for shelter from the rain.

His hands roamed her thick but beautiful waist, pulling her even closer, keeping his hand their. The rain continued to fall around them, the sound of the droplets on the leaves adding to the intensity of the moment.

Reyansh's kisses began to trail down Pratiksha's neck, his lips hot and soft against her skin, as his hands continued to rub her waist sensually. They interwind their hands, when a soft moan escaped from her mouth.

Reyansh jerked open his eyes, his heart racing and his mind still wrapped in the haze of the images that had just moments before been so vividly alive in his mind's eye. It was a dream that seemed so real, he could almost feel the raindrops on his skin, the warmth of her body in his arms, and the taste of her lips on his. He sat up in bed, his eyes again closed, and took a moment to collect his thoughts, the dream still fresh in his mind.

A mix of irritation and confusion on his face. "Seriously, what is wrong with me?" he muttered to himself.

The dream had been so vivid and unsettling, and he couldn't shake the feeling of unease it had left him with. Annoyed at himself for letting the dream get to him, he threw off the covers and got out of bed.

Did I just said the cringiest line ever exist in my dream. That too for that Pratiksha, Bhagwan ji maaf kar dijiye.

"This is ridiculous," he grumbled, trying to push the lingering images from his mind.

He headed towards his washroom still involving the thought.

-

After some morning exercise he made his way to the breakfast table, his mind still swirling with thoughts about the dream, he tried to put on a poker face and act normal.

His eyes roamed over his family members, who were all engrossed in their own conversations. His sister, Niharika, was scrolling her phone, while his parents and uncle & aunty talked about their upcoming plans.

As he sat down, his father, Keshav, looked up and remarked, "Hey you didn't came for the pooja this morning, son. Trouble in paradise?"

Reyansh forced a laugh, trying to play down his distraction.

"Oh, it's nothing," he said, giving a dismissive wave. "Just had a weird dream, that's all."

His mother, Geeta, chimed in, "Dream, huh? I wonder what it could have been about."

Reyansh could feel his cheeks burning, his dream playing on repeat in his mind. "Just some random stuff," he muttered, avoiding eye contact.

Niharika, noticing her brother's discomfort, couldn't help but tease him. "Come on, Bhai, spill the beans. What kind of dream were you having?"

Reyansh shot her a warning glare, silently begging her to drop the subject. But Niharika, being the mischievous sister she was, continued to press. "Was it about a girl? A very special girl, perhaps?"

His face flushed with embarrassment as Niharika's relentless teasing continued.

He could feel his parents' curious gazes on him, and it only added to his humiliation. "Can we change the subject, please?" he pleaded, but his sister wasn't done yet.

"Umm hmm, I ship you with Pr-", she teased him but her younger cousin, Raushan kept his hand on her mouth when he looked at Reyansh's death glare on her.

"That's enough Niharika beta, look at his face. Let him eat peacefully." his aunt, Meera, laughed looking at their teasing scene.

Everyone laughed looking at the scene but silence spread when someone cleared his throat.

"Neha is coming at evening with Raj babu. Her in laws called me to inform that she's staying here till her delivery." their grandmother, Vaishnavi Khurrana said in her serious tone.

Wave of happiness spread there hearing the news. Neha is the elder daughter of the family, she's married to Vivek Singhania, elder brother of Raj Singhania. She's the elder daughter of Reyansh's Uncle, Angad and Aunt, Meera.

Everyone was so happy but there was two person who were involve their own thoughts.

First, Niharika, who scrunched her nose hearing the name Raj babu.

Second, Reyansh, who was again thinking about that traumatizing dream.

-------------------------------

Reyansh, internally struggling with his hormones, felt a familiar heat rise in his cheeks.

The memory of this morning's dream combined with Pratiksha's captivating presence in her baby blue suit had him feeling a mix of embarrassment and desire.

He tried to maintain his composure, but every glance her way only heightened his discomfort. The way her dupatta was misaligned revealed a tantalizing glimpse of her collarbone, adding more fuel to the fire.Swallowing thickly, he quickly bid her farewell and scurried away, desperate to escape the effects of his hormones.

As he hurriedly walked away, he took deep breaths, attempting to regain control of his racing mind and hormones.

He couldn't believe how a simple piece of fabric like her misplaced dupatta had sent his thoughts spiraling out of control maybe it's her presence and that dream which lend him to this situation.

He felt a mixture of attraction and frustration, torn between wanting to keep his distance and giving in to his desires.Reyansh tried to distract himself by focusing on the rain around him, but the memory of his dream from that morning and her proximity had ignited a primal ache within him.

I've heard somewhere that thinking something disgusting can fix this type of situation. Huhh Reyansh think something disgusting, he thought. As if someone more disgusting than the author exists on the Earth.

Disgusting means that Raj Singhania...ohh didn't helped.

Something more disgusting...Me and Raj Singhania and that dream. EWWWW

He was stunned at that thought. Suddenly he felt an urge to puke at his imagination of being with Raj.

He was more than fine now, as if someone just switched the button off.

He headed towards his classroom after sometime with his friends.
